The Truth Comes Out – Socks Are the Devil!

truth

As part of Jamie Ayres’ 18 Truths blogfest, I posted two truths and a lie last week. Here were the three things about me to choose from:

I have to sleep with socks on.

I’ve eaten bugs.

My special talent is keeping fish alive.

So which are true and which is the lie? *drum roll, please* The first one is the lie!!!! If my feet are hot, I can’t sleep. Period. Every night, they come off, as do most of my other clothes. TMI? Hey, I’m a furnace when I sleep. I can’t help it.

Yep, I’ve eaten bugs before, both alive and dead. When I was little, I would pick them up, pop them between my fingers, and suck them down. You weren’t about to eat dinner or anything, were you? 😉 I’ve also eaten them lightly toasted and salted. Crickets are kind of chewy, while silk worms have the same consistency as potato chips. Who knew? Okay, I’ll shut up now.

As for keeping fish alive, what can I say? It’s a gift. An unwanted, annoying gift, but a gift all the same. The goldfish I have now has been with me a year and a half, which is nothing, really, since they can live up to fifteen to twenty years. The goldfish I had as a child, affectionately named Glitter, lived for about two years. When I tell people this, they always say that their fish only lived for a week or two. Everyone I know says that, which is, like, two people, but still.

So now you know! Hurray! Now go buy 18 Truths by Jamie Ayres!
