“Are you hungry?” she asks, tilting her head, looking at my mouth.
What are you going to feed me if I say yes?
“Maybe.” I’m playing it safe.
“It’s a yes or no answer.”
“No zigzagging?” I tease, smirking at her. She’s bold as brass this one.
“Exactly,” she nods.
“Yes,” I answer. Yes to everything. All of it. A hell to the yes. Yes to the nth degree. Yes to infinity. Yes.
“Yes, you’re hungry?”
“Starving.” Feed my trinity.
“Would you like a sandwich?” she giggles.
“Very punny, Sharlee. Yes, I’d like a sand witch.” I could eat her out all night.
The amusement in her expression fades, chemistry fizzing between us as clear as a mirage in a haze.
Patting my arm, she gets up, moving to the fridge, “We could have sandwiches, or we could just have dinner early. You’re the only guest arriving today, the others will only be here on Friday.”
I have her to myself for three whole days! Fucking A!
Twisting to look at me, she asks, “Should we eat now?”
“Yes.”
Her eyes widen. “Dinner, I mean.”
“What else did you mean if not dinner?” I smile, enjoying her squirm under my stare.
She clears her throat, opening the fridge door to hide her face, “How hungry are you?”
“Very.”
Her head pops up again, her gaze catching mine. “Very?”
“You have no idea,” I laugh.
“I think I do,” she smiles, the rascal twinkle back in her eyes, yanking bowls from the fridge. “No loafing around here, you have to get your hands dirty.”
I hold them up. “If hands could talk mine would shout dirty, filthy, sinner.”
